About the Opportunity:
Sam Your Courier Guy, LLC is a leading courier company seeking motivated and experienced Independent Contractors with Cargo Vans for a seasonal last-mile delivery opportunity. This role is crucial to our operations during the peak season. Exceptional performers may be considered for an extension beyond the initial season.

As a courier, you will be the face of our company, directly responsible for ensuring timely and professional deliveries that "deliver smiles" to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute a high volume of last-mile deliveries, typically exceeding 100 stops per day.
• Safely operate your cargo van to deliver packages up to 50 lbs. (most are lighter).
• Navigate efficiently using GPS and mobile technology to locate addresses.
• Provide excellent customer service as a professional representative of our company.
• Physically handle packages, which includes walking and climbing multiple flights of stairs.
• Adhere strictly to daily schedules and communicated timelines.
• Manage route assignments, which will vary daily.

A Typical Day:

• Arrive at the distribution facility at your scheduled time for package assignment.
• Attend a daily stand-up meeting to review priorities and address any issues.
• Receive your route assignment and load your vehicle.
• Complete all deliveries efficiently.
• Upon completion, you are dismissed for the day unless undelivered packages need to be returned to the distribution center.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Weekly pay via direct deposit.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vehicle: Reliable Cargo Van (not older than 10 years).
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of professional courier/delivery experience.
• License: Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations.
• Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
• Record: Clean driving record and must pass a 9-panel drug test.
• Insurance: Must possess current auto liability insurance and commercial general liability insurance with the following minimum coverages:
  • General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate.
• Skills: Excellent attendance, superb time management, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
• Location: Must reside in or near the Grand Rapids, MI area.
