Position Summary:

We are seeking On-Demand Independent Contractor Drivers to join our team. This role requires the safe and timely transport of goods, packages, or materials for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation or logistics, a dependable vehicle, and a strong track record of professionalism and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently transport goods or materials while complying with all company and DOT regulations.
Operate a manual pallet jack to load/unload shipments as needed.
Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and records of deliveries.
Ensure vehicles are regularly maintained and meet all safety standards.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and management regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
Provide excellent customer service and uphold Eveready Express’ professional standards while on the job.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as an independent contractor or professional driver in logistics, transportation, or freight.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required depending on vehicle type.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Vehicle Requirements:
- Must be in good running condition and presentable to the public.
- Commercial plates ready.
- Business logo printed on the passenger and driver doors.
- Commercial insurance – minimum $300k liability and $5k cargo insurance.
- DOT# and MC# – must be both active.
Dependable and on-time track record.

Additional Requirements:

Must pass a background check.
Own a suitable/presentable vehicle to transport goods.
Ability to operate GPS and other navigation systems for route planning.
Ability to use a manual pallet jack.
